Honor Flight Rochester (HFR) is pleased to announce that Mission 88 will fly the weekend of May 3&4. This will be the first mission for this year with six flights planned for 2025.

HFR Missions provide local veterans with what has been described as the “Trip of a lifetime.” Veteran applications never expire. Their position on the Fly List advances with each flown mission. Fifty-nine veterans will fly on Mission 88 including 2 Korean War veteran, 7 Cold War veterans, 6 Cold War/Vietnam War veterans and 44 Vietnam War veterans. Their branches of service are: Army (21), Navy (17), Air Force (16) and Marines (5).

After one of last year’s missions a flown veteran wrote:

“My son and I had the privilege to being on Mission #81. It was a wonderful experience…. I was stationed in Danang AB Vietnam in ‘67-’68…. I’d like to thank you and all in your organization for your efforts and dedication.”

Since 2008 including Mission 88, HFR will have flown 4,474 veterans funded entirely through the generosity of our community including individuals, organizations, corporations, hundreds of volunteers and testamentary bequests.
