Honor Flight Rochester (HFR) is pleased to announce that Mission 90 will fly the weekend of June 21st & 22nd. This will be the third mission for the year with three more to follow in the fall.

HFR Missions provide local veterans with what has been described as the “Trip of a lifetime.” Veteran applications never expire. Their position on the Fly List advances with each flown mission. Sixty-two veterans will fly on Mission 90 including: 1 Korean War veteran, 1 Korean/Cold War veteran, 5 Cold War veterans, 1 Cold War/Vietnam veteran, 53 Vietnam War veterans and 1 Post 1975 Veteran. Their branches of service are: Army (32), Navy (9), Air Force (11), Marines (9) and Coast Guard (1).

After the last mission a flown veteran wrote in a letter, “I was fortunate to be part of the latest Honor Flight Mission. It was and incredible experience that I was able to share with my son as guardian ….”

Since 2008 including Mission 90, HFR will have flown 4,594 veterans funded entirely through the generosity of our community including individuals, organizations, corporations, hundreds of volunteers and testamentary bequests.
