We are pleased to announce that Kim Gould has been selected as the next President of Honor Flight Rochester, Inc., effective July 1, 2025. Kim will serve as our fifth president and will rejoin our Board of Directors in this leadership role.
As many of you know, Kim is a co-founder of Honor Flight Rochester and was an original board member. She has dedicated her time, talent, and treasure to our mission of expressing the community’s gratitude to our area Veterans since day one—serving in nearly every volunteer capacity, from traveling on missions, to attending departures and Welcome Home events, and making Veteran calls. She was even part of the Mission 1 crew in October 2008, and she and her late husband, Jeff Gould, have left a lasting legacy of service and support.
Fun Fact: Kim is the one who chose our now-iconic orange shirts—a practical decision to keep our Veterans and team visible on our tours, and the color has since become a proud part of our identity and brand.
I also want to thank our Selection Committee, President Rich Stewart, Treasurer Frank Vavrick, and Secretary Dave Timmons for their time and thoughtful work in considering the candidates and selecting Kim.
