HFR Welcomes Home Mission 66 Veterans

On Sunday, June 16th, Honor Flight Rochester (HFR) welcomes home Mission 66.

There are 60 veterans slated to fly on Mission 66. They include 1 World War II veteran, 8 Korean War veterans, 47 Cold War veterans and 4 Vietnam War veterans. They served in the in U.S. Army (25), U.S. Navy (16), U.S Air Force (10), U.S. Marine Corps (7) and Coast Guard (2).

Through the generous support of the Rochester area community, we are proud to announce HFR’s 66th Mission to DC. Our wonderful volunteers book the flights, hotels, meals, buses, etc. But it’s the financial support of this great community that makes these flights possible. Our veterans stepped up to protect our country, please come out on Sunday to welcome them home from their trip of a lifetime,” said HFR Co-founder & Director Jeff Gould.

This is the third of six missions for 2019. Not including Mission 66, HFR has escorted 3,149 men and women veterans on 65 Missions, all funded through the generous of donations from our community including individuals, organizations, corporations and hundreds of volunteers.
