Honor Flight Rochester Welcomes Home Mission 42 on Sunday June 21

Father’s Day is a special day for the fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers veterans who are returning home on Honor Flight Rochester’s Mission 42 Sunday, June 21. Father’s Day typically draws a large crowd of flag-waving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to welcome home their heroes. Honor Flight Rochester is taking 54 of men and women veterans on Mission 42. This is the third of six missions for Honor Flight Rochester’s 2015 season.

PRIVATE RECEPTION: The veterans are expected to come through the welcome home throng between 11:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. A private reception follows in the International Room for veterans and their families.

DEPARTURE: Saturday, June 20, 2015 – Honor Flight Rochester Mission 42 departs the Greater Rochester International Airport at 6:30 a.m. The veterans and their guardians begin arriving at 4 a.m.

SCHEDULE FLIGHT ARRIVAL TIME: 11:10 a.m. (Sunday, June 21).
PUBLIC WELCOME CELEBRATION: Approximately 11:30 – 11:45 a.m.

COLOR GUARD: West Webster Fire Department.
MUSIC: Gates Keystone Pipe and Drum.

Unfortunately veterans cannot choose what flight they will travel on due to medical and logistic issues associated with the flight process. We also encourage veterans from the Syracuse and Buffalo area's to visit and register with their local Honor Flight hubs before registering with Rochester Honor Flight.
