SAR honoring the founding members of “Honor Flight Rochester” by presenting the founders with the National SAR Bronze Good Citizenship medals & Certificates, first authorized in 1895. That medal was originally designed as a medallion, but a ribbon and clasp were added in 1932 converting it to a medal. It is intended to recognize persons whose achievements are noteworthy in their school, community or state.
