Honor Flight Has Taken 1,225 WWII Veterans To Washington!!

As we wrap up the 2012 flying season and we reflect on all the accomplishments of Rochester Honor Flight, one thing stands out – our overall count of WWII veterans from the Rochester and Western New York area transported to Washington DC to see their memorial has reached a total of 1,225 veterans. This has been done by an army of dedicated volunteer’s and very supportive public whose donations of time and money has made this possible. A big THANK YOU to all as we look forward to another successful year coming up in 2013! Our spring flight dates have been scheduled – see our home page!

Unfortunately veterans cannot choose what flight they will travel on due to medical and logistic issues associated with the flight process. We also encourage veterans from the Syracuse and Buffalo area's to visit and register with their local Honor Flight hubs before registering with Rochester Honor Flight.
